Rutuj has worked in the Indian advertising industry primarily as a film director, editor, and motion graphics animator. He also has experience in cinematography and producing roles.

Jockey, Max Fashion,  Columbia-Asia Hospital, and Ola Cabs are some of his popular clients.

He  has color-graded several short films during his grad program at SCAD; most of them have been honored as an official selection at a number of prestigious film festivals, such as Los Angeles independent shorts awards and Hollyshorts monthly screenings.

Rutuj graduated with an MFA in Film and TV from SCAD on 3rd June 2023. His thesis was about how film editing creates meaning in found footage experimental films.
